The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri, Inc. held its 9th Annual Event – “Grow Your Own," on February 21, 2020, at Mozingo Lake Conference Center in Maryville, Missouri.
The guest speaker was Dell Gines, Senior Community Development Advisor, Omaha Branch-Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Mr. Gines spoke about his experiences with entrepreneur based economic development in rural settings and grassroots economic development projects. He shared tips about strategies he has seen work and why those are uniquely suited for small towns.
Each year our breakfast meeting has engaged between 200-300 regional leaders from a variety of industries alongside government officials.
