An informative discussion was held online via Zoom on Thursday, May 14, 2024 facilitated by Christel Gollnick, JUPER Communications, LLC. Steve Wenger, Maximize NWMO Navigation Team member and data lead, shared research learned from Don Macke, vice president of e2 Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (formerly The Center for Rural Entrepreneurship) over the past decade on the topic of thriving communities investing in themselves. The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri's President/CEO Mary Hinde shared information on the update of the Transfer of Wealth Study in Missouri with specific information about our 18 counties in the Great Northwest, as well as how the Community Foundation can assist individuals and communities with establishing and managing contributions designated by donors to support specific purposes and projects throughout the region. Christel Gollnick, Maximize NWMO Navigation Team member, wrapped up the session by sharing the mindset for, and types of funding available from a myriad of sources to, community collaboration and development efforts.
