An interactive and engaging discussion was held online via Zoom on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Several media and communications professionals along with Communications CollaborACTION Team members gathered to connect with each other and "be the news" instead of just covering it! The decision at the end of the gathering was to stay involved in the 1st Friday meetings held monthly to continue the conversation and explore ways to better connect and promote the region together.

* Learn what Maximize NWMO is and who is involved.
* Determine if there is value in having a regional networking group that includes communications professionals from all sectors that connects a few times throughout the year. We know it has proven to be helpful in some communities and other regions across the U.S. Is it a good idea for NWMO?
* The Maximize NWMO Communications CollaborACTION Team would like to better understand the challenges and opportunities of journalism and communications within the 18 counties of Northwest Missouri as this broad group of volunteers continues on a path of dreaming big and growing together to maximize Northwest Missouri's potential.
