The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri
The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri Inc. was established in 2009 as a 501(c)3 public charity to help donors support their favorite charities while receiving maximum tax advantage. The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri works through regional collaboration to increase the power of charitable giving and philanthropy to transform our region into an economically vibrant area.

Communities of Excellence 2026
Communities of Excellence 2026 works to improve the quality of life for our nation’s residents by assisting communities in implementing the Baldrige-based Communities of Excellence Framework. Communities of Excellence 2026 (COE 2026) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that hosts a national learning collaborative of communities across the country, trains communities in the Baldrige-based Communities of Excellence Framework, and provides opportunities for communities to work together, share successes, challenges, ideas, and best practices, and learn from each other on their performance excellence journey.

USDA Rural Development
USDA Rural Development is committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America. Through our programs, we help rural Americans in many ways. We offer loans, grants, and loan guarantees to help create jobs and support economic development and essential services such as housing; health care; first responder services and equipment; and water, electric, and communications infrastructure. We promote economic development by supporting loans to businesses through banks, credit unions, and community-managed lending pools. We offer technical assistance and information to help agricultural producers and cooperatives get started and improve the effectiveness of their operations. We provide technical assistance to help communities undertake community empowerment programs. We help rural residents buy or rent safe, affordable housing and make health and safety repairs to their homes.

Patterson Family Foundation
Rooted in rural, the Patterson Family Foundation, based in Kansas City, Missouri, is a family-led foundation that extends the legacy of Neal and Jeanne Patterson. The Foundation's mission, "Working together to help rural communities thrive," is carried forward through strategic grantmaking and other collaborative initiatives that serve rural counties across Kansas and western Missouri. The current priority areas of focus include healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.

Extension University of Missouri
Using university research and science-based knowledge, University of Missouri Extension works with people to understand change, solve problems and make informed decisions. MU Extension addresses a wide range of needs that fall into three grand challenges for the state of Missouri including economic opportunity, educational access, and excellence, and health and well-being. We offer in-person and online programming, publications, and information in major interest areas including agriculture and environment, business and community, health and safety, and youth and family.

There are more than 200 people who have given their time to participate in Regional Community Forums, Discovery Groups, CollaborACTION Teams, and other events and activities. Some have shared their valuable input in one meeting while others are involved on a weekly basis donating hundreds of hours. All are important to NWMO making progress towards maximizing our potential!
